MY IDAHO HOME, LLC.
is an Idaho limited liability company
founded in 2004 by Merrily Munther and Tom Ratchford. Merrily
has been an attorney in private practice in Boise, Idaho,
for 28 years, with emphasis on real estate and construction.
Tom has been doing carpentry and contracting for 40 years.
They teamed up two-plus years ago and married on February
14, 2003. They started fixing up their stibnite house in McCall
in November 2002 and are still working on it. They spend as
much time as they can in McCall.
In the fall of 2003 they got the idea of
starting a for-sale-by-owner business when they noticed that
there was fierce competition among the real estate firms in
the area but that no one appeared to be assisting owners who
wanted to sell property on their own. They pondered it over
the winter and by spring knew this was something they would
like to do, especially because it was something they could
do together. Both tom and merrily can take digital photos
for advertising and to assist owners with flyers describing
their property. We had a friend develop a logo for "my
Idaho home" that we felt reminded us of a home in the
mountains. From the point we developed the logo, we went into
high speed, having signs and business cards made, and developing
the documents needed for owners to sell their homes. The business
officially launched July 1, 2004. We are currently working
on our website, my Idahome.com.
